She worked for the State of South Carolina nearly 37 years, and was Valedictorian of the Orangeburg County High School in Springfield, SC, where she graduated in 1950. She married Wallace Mundy, and later, Johnnie Ergle in 1963, who died January 18, 2007, in Aiken, SC. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ezelle Bolin & Viola Hutto Bolin.
