Effie Hagen

WOOD RIVER - Erne Lorena Hagen, 81, died at 5:10 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999, at Eldercare of Alton nursing home in Alton.

Born Oct. 14, 1917, in Springville, Tenn., she was a daughter of the late James Kendall and Eliza (Bramlett) Allen.

She was employed as a machine operator at Olin Corporation tor 10 years and was a member of Wood River Women of the Moose Lodge #1349.

On March 17, 1940, in West Alton, Mo., she mar¬ried Joseph C. Hagen. He preceded her in death Aug. 6, 1995.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Shirley Hagen of Hartford; two daughters and a son-in¬-law, Shirley May and Mary Jane and Glen Kelley all of Wood River; eight grand¬children; three step grand¬children; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia Montague of Wood River.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where services will be con¬ducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Evangelist Bob Hawkins will officiate.

Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
