This Foster Family Immigrated From Hunsdon,Hertfordshire England in the mid 1600s to The Virginia Colony of Jamestown Va. / Old Essex Co Va--- After The Revolution the Fosters moved to Old Rowan County N C @ The Forks of The Yadkin where several Generations are buried at Fork Baptist Church (Tilman Foster Family). Tilman's son John Murphy Foster and wife Comfort Anne Orrell Wood were Hiram Lindsey Foster's parents ( buried at Reeds Baptist Church Davidson Co.) Hiram Lindsey Foster m: Sallie Markland daughter of Matthew Markland and Anne Zimmerman. H.L. and Sallie Foster settled in Advance,NC to raise a family in their Queen Anne Home & H.L. ran a General Merchandise store and was also one of the local undertakers storing Coffins in his shop for many years using a Horse Drawn Hearse for Funerals. Oldest son Clyde developed an Out Door Advertising Busines and The Fosters moved from Advance to Statesville N.C.
Their Children were 1) Clyde C Foster m: Daisy Jolly;2) Naylor Cary Foster m: Etta Minnick;3) Miss Anne Foster; 4)Stella m: David Dewitt Phelps; 5) Sue Deana Foster m: Felix F Miller and 6) Miss Jakie Foster.
Family members are buried in Davie Co N.C. @ Fork Baptist Church ;Davidson Co @ Reeds Baptist Church.and Hendersonville,Henderson County @ Oakdale Cemetery.
