Terry Lee Carper was the son of Richard D. Carper & Ethel Elizabeth Greenwait Carper of Fourth Avenue, Ranson,WV. Terry was a 1965 graduate of Charles Town High School where he was a member of the Panther football team. Terry was killed when the 1961 auto he was operating at a very high rate of speed left Rt 230 north of Charles Town and slammed into a large tree according to West Virginia State Police. Also dead at the scene were Eddie Whittington and Gary McDonough of Ranson and Charles Town High School. Terry is also survived by his sister Susan K. Carper and brothers Richard D. Carper and Stephen D. Carper.
