Clarence E Johnston, age 83, of Taylors Falls, died Saturday, March 12, 2005, at Green Acres Country Care.

 

Clarence was born January 18, 1922, to Elof and Mary Johnson, at Shafer.

 

He joined the Navy in October 1942 and served until 1945. He was employed as a mechanic for many years. After his retirement, he loved to fish and hunt.

 

He is survived by sons: Don (Shirley), Dennis, Danny, Daryl (Shirley), Dru, David; daughters: Della (Art) Lease, Dotty (Greg) Lundeen, Darla (Mark) McKenzie, Darcy (James) Vitalis; brother, Hjalmer; sister, Delores (Jim) Carlson; 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

 

Clarence is preceded in death by his wife, Viola; parents, Elof and Mary; brothers: Vic, George, Karl, Art, Leroy, Oscar and sisters: Lillian and Marie.

 

Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery
