John Keith Noyes died peacefully in his American Fork home on Thursday, July 17, 2008 with his loving family around him.
He was born to parents Newton Eugene Noyes and Mary Emma Beal in Ephraim, UT on Jan. 18, 1921. He enjoyed the farm and working beside his father and adopted working skills and philosophies that he embraced throughout his life. Schooling involved Snow College, where his father was president, BYU, and Utah State University where he graduated with a B.S. and Masters Degree. In Logan he met Beth Clark, and after serving in World War II, they married on July 16, 1946, later solemnized in 1949 in the Logan Temple. Soil Conservation working assignments were in Choteau and Shelby, Montana and later in Caldwell and Marsing, Idaho. After retirement from the federal government, he worked for the ID Dept. of Water Resource Board in Boise, ID for 13 years. While working, he maintained the "Farmer John" produce business and was known throughout Boise Valley for his sweet hybrid corn. John enjoyed golf and oil painting as evidenced by the painting gallery in the garage. He was very active in the LDS church holding various positions, teaching being his first love.
He is survived by his wife, Beth; children, Lyman, Nancy Farrow (Evan) and Gordon (Andrea); four grandchildren; and soon to be six great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were Katherine, daughter, and his four brothers, Ray E. Noyes, Marion B. Noyes, Reed Noyes, and Newton E. Noyes.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Mon., July 21, 2008 at the American Fork North LDS Stake Center located at 975 North 60 East in American Fork, UT. Viewings are at the American Fork Stake Center on Sun., July 20, from 6-8 p.m. and July 21 from 8:45-9:45 a.m.
Interment Services will be held at the Logan City Cemetery at 3 p.m. on July 21, 2008.
