Elizabeth Stroud Dies In Michigan
Former Liberty Woman Dies At Daughter's Home; Body To Be Returned
Mrs. Elizabeth Ann Stroud, 89, a former resident of Wells county, died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. David Colbert, at Bay City, Mich., after an illness of several months from paralysis and complications.
Born in Liberty township, Mrs. Stroud was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Mossburg. She was united in marriage to John R. Stroud, who died on Aug. 17, 1924. She lived in the vicinity of Bly until the death of her husband, when she went to live with her son-in-law and daughter.
Surviving are the children: Frank Stroud, of Huntington; Mrs. Minnie Colbert, of Bay City, Mich.; Mrs. Hattie Stewart, of Chicago; Thomas Stroud, of Richmond; Elmer Stroud, of Jay county; a son by a former marriage, William Irwin, of Marion; and a brother, James Mossburg, of Liberty Center.
The body will be returned this evening to the Bergman funeral home in Warren. Definite funeral services have not been completed.
