In Ferrisburgh, on the 30th ult. Capt. Joseph Powers, aged 68 - a soldier of the Revolution. He was in the battle of Bunker Hill; and as he was one of the first to bear arms in the defense of his country's rights, so he was one of the last to lay them down - yet he signalized himself at the battle of Plattsburgh in 1814.
