Polo - Otho G. Ports, 72, Rt. 1, died Sunday morning in KSB Hospital, Dixon, following a short illness.
He was born Aug. 25, 1897, in Eagle Point Township, Ogle County, the son of James and Celeste Geary Ports.
Ports was married to Inez Garman on April 3, 1918, in Polo.
He was preceded in death by a son and a sister.
Survivors include his widow; three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Carolyn) Smith, Beloit, Wis.; Mrs. Ed (Marie) Hagaman, Athens, Ga.; and Mrs. Keith (Joyce) Albers, Milledgeville; nine grandchildren; a brother, Charles, Dixon.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Brown-Seidel Funeral Home with the Rev. A. J. Tetzlaff, pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial
will be in the Elkhorn EUM Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
