John Warren Chilton was born on October 29th, 1842 to Charles Chilton and Jane Ransdell. His father having died when he was 13 and by the time he was 18, his mother was out of the picture too because he was living with grandpa John Chilton and his other siblings. A couple months after turning 19, he joined the Union 6th Regiment Kentucky Volunteer Infantry, Company K. He served 3 years and discharged at Nashville, TN on Jan 2, 1865. He had his first child Mildred Jane Chilton a couple months later on March 20, 1865. Then he married Emily Pendleton,the mother of Mildred, two weeks later on April 3rd, 1865. He would have 7 more children over the course of the next 22 years with Emily living in Henry county, KY. Those children were Mildred Jane Chilton (1865), James Lindsay Chilton (1868), Isaac M Chilton (1870) , Levi W Chilton (1872), Emily Chilton (1874), William Thomas Chilton (1877), Callous M Chilton (1879) and Abraham Guinn Chilton (1887). In 1885, Turner's Station Baptist Church appointed him as a deacon of the church. His wife died on Feb 5, 1891 at the age of 46 leaving him to care for the rest of the children that were still in the house, which could have been all of them because Mildred was only 26 at this point. On July 27th 1892, he remarried Lucy Ellen "Lue" Neville at the age of 49. In 1900, he was still married to "Lue" and they still had 2 kids in the house, William and Abe. But they never had any kids together.By 1903, John Warren Chilton was marrying again, only this time to Victoria Perry Rabourn on August 20th, 1903. He was 60 years old at this point in his life. He lived the rest of his years in Henry county, KY until the age of 87 because on Wednesday Aug 13, 1930 he died at his home of heart disease. His funeral was at the same church he was a deacon at, Turner's Station Baptist Chuch.
