OBITUARY - CHARLES NEW BOYCE, Poultney, Rutland, VT

Charles New Boyce, 86, of Poultney, died Wednesday in Rutland hospital after a brief illness.
.
Born Jan. 20, 1872, Mr. Boyce was the son of George B. and Florence (New) Boyce. A retired farmer, he had spent much of his life here. On Sept. 10, 1901, he married the former Bertha Potter, who survives.
.
Other survivors include two sons, George P. and William H., both of Poultney, and a sister, Mrs. Daisy Boyce Brown, and two nieces, all of Plattsburgh, N. Y.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Poultney Methodist Church, the Rev. John Mitchell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Poultney cemetery.
.
Friends may call at the Boyce residence on Main street here Friday afternoon and evening.
