Mr. Ted Henderson Williams, 97, of 1353 River Road, died Saturday, July 05, 2008, at Britthaven of Madison.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the Mayodan Municipal Cemetery with Reverend Roy Little officiating.

Mr. Williams was born October 25, 1910 in Stokes County, to the late Samuel T. Williams and Eva Spencer Williams. He was a retired farmer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five sisters; five brothers; a son, Steve Williams; and by his wife, Ruth Lester Williams.

He is survived by his two children, John Williams and Janie Reid, both of Stoneville; sisters, Virginia Powers and husband Charles of Mayodan and Grace Schultz and husband Harry of Beaufort, NC; brother, William "Bouse" Williams and wife Madge of Mayodan; 7 grandchildren, Sabrina Barnett, Johnna Whichard, Lacy Roberts, Cheryl Wray, Brian Reid, Andy Williams, and Dwayne Williams; and 6 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Ray Funeral Home in Madison.
