Nannie Boyd was born to Andrew Jackson Boyd and Mary Sterling Castles Boyd in South Carolina. She moved with her parents to Lincoln County, Arkansas, where she met and married William Little Patterson. They moved to Eureka, Texas. Their children, Robert Lester Patterson, Mary Elizabeth Patterson, and Nellie (Patterson) Bonner grew up in Eureka. She served her Lord with joy in spite if suffering from severe rheumatism until her deatn.
