ATOKA, Okla. - Funeral services for Janett May (Smith) Riggs Hall, 74, of Atoka, Okla., were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2008, in Brown's Funeral Home Chapel. Glen Cook and Joey Smith officiated, and burial was in Hebron Cemetery in Bells.
She died Wednesday, June 18, 2008, in Denison.
Mrs. Hall was born Sept. 28, 1933, the daughter of Jesse S. Smith and Lois O'Daniel Smith at Bells. She attended school in Whitewright and Savoy. She married Elmer "Mutt" Hall on Dec. 17, 1982, in Farris, Okla.
She was a housewife and homemaker and had worked 16 years for Texas Instruments in Dallas and Sherman. She was a member of Crystal Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are her husband, Mutt Hall of Atoka, Okla.; daughter, Joann Riggs Martin of Denison; grandsons, Johnny Martin of Pottsboro and Tim Martin of Denison; great-grandchildren, Corey Martin and Courtney Martin, both of Pottsboro; sister, Laura Helen Nobles of Greenville; brother, Wilbert Humphries and wife Shirley of Austin; stepsons, Eugene Hall and wife Connie of Springdale, Ark. and Jerry Hall and wife Debbie of Sulphur, Okla.; six step-grandchildren and 14 step-greatgrandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear and loved friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jessie Smith; mother and stepfather, Lois and Joe Humphries; brothers, Frank Humphries, Doyle Humphries, Ed Humphries, Clinton (Corkey) Smith and Joe Smith; stepson, Bobby Dale Hall; and stepgrandson, Kevin Hall.
Pallbearers were Jim Briggs, Jimmy Hall, Chester Hall, Jeremy Hall, Randy Hall, Terry Hall, Jason Baserman and Corey Martin.
Honorary pallbearers were Glenn McClendon, Noel Powell, Dennis Powell and Robert Powell.
Visitation was from 6 -8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
