Audrey Mae Evans, 81, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and angels, Monday, July 16, 2007, at home.
Service: 10 a.m. Thursday at Diamond Oaks Church of God. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.
Audrey was born May 3, 1926, to Curtis and Ola Pearl Bullard in Fannin County, and had three sisters. She married Aron "Doc" Evans in 1943. Audrey was a longtime member of Diamond Oaks Church of God, where she was a faithful nursery attendant for many years. She created crocheted heirlooms and fabulous holiday feasts for her family. Audrey was a very devoted wife and mother and will live on in our hearts forever.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 47 years, Doc Evans; her mother and father; and a sister, Estell Bullard.
Survivors: Children, Doris Mattox and husband, Larry, Billy Evans and wife, Cyndi, Curtis Evans and wife, Cally, and Jackie Evans and wife, Peggy, all of Fort Worth; sisters, Lena Kimble of Bunch, Okla., and Lola Taylor of Monroe, La.; grandchildren, Jimmy Simpson, Jeffery Simpson, Christy Springfield and husband, Tim, Arlen Evans, Courtney Evans and Deanna Evans; nieces, nephews and countless other relatives; and many special friends.
