Geneva M. Browning, 97, of Kirksville, Missouri passed away Tuesday morning August 10, 2004 at Kirksville Manor Care Center under the care of Hospice.
The daughter of Oliver and Essie (Bowen) Perry she was born March 4, 1907 in Novelty, Missouri. She was unitd in marriage to Everett W. Browning and he preceded her in death on February 21, 1962.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one nephew.
Geneva is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins, including Kay Searce and three sisters-in-law.
Geneva was reared in Knox County and attended the Novelty Public School graduating with the class of 1925. She attended the Kirksville State Teachers College and taught in schools in Knox County for thirteen years and eight years in Novelty.
She was a member of the Novelty Christian Church where she was secretary of Sunday school for a number of years.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday August 15, 2004 at the Maple Hills Cemetery with Rev. Norm Snowbarger officiating.
