Edward H. Shaffer of 105 Maple street, formerly of the Henry Shaffer Lumber Company of Kittanning and Ford City, died in Armstrong County Hospital Saturday, March 29, 1941 at 9 p.m. He was 64. A son of the late Henry and Nancy Shaffer of Kittanning, Mr. Shaffer was a member of the First Presbyterian church of Kittanning and Kittanning B.P.O. Elks Lodge No. 203. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Minerva (Lasher) Shaffer, two daughters, Mrs. Harry W. Dame Of Kittanning and Mrs. Albert R. Pechan of Ford City; two grandsons, Edward and Albert Dame; and the following Brothers and sisters; James F. Shaffer, George W. Shaffer, Stanley R. Shaffer, William Shaffer, Walter Shaffer, and Mrs. E.J. Cushman of Kittanning; and Mrs. O.C. Jacobs of Dormont. Funeral services will be held at Rhodes Funeral Home Tuesday, April 1, at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the family burial plot in the Kittanning cemetery.
