HOWARD -- Shawn Bryan, of Tulsa, OK was born on June 8, 1969 in Tulsa to Donnie Lee and Juanita Kay (Price) Howard. He passed from this life, and much too soon, on Friday, June 25, 2004 in Tulsa.
Mr. Howard was baptized in the Grace Freewill Baptist Church in Broken Arrow. He grew up in and graduated from Broken Arrow High School. He went on to attend the University of Texas, then transferred to Oklahoma State University. Shawn lived a full life in a short time. He lived in Boston, Florida, Texas and was back in Oklahoma, where he owned and operated the Dead Town Tavern in the Brady District of Tulsa. He played guitar and was in a music video. Shawn wrote, directed and starred in his own movie. He loved rebuilding old cars, riding motorcycles, listening to old fashioned Rock and Roll music and was a Taco Bueno bean burrito addict.
The things I will miss about Shawn are his contagious laugh, his sharp wittiness, his great sense of humor, his kind heart, his big hugs, feeling his hair stubbles and the love for his family and friends. We were blessed and honored to have had him in our lives.
Shawn is preceded in death by his grandfather and two uncles.
He is survived by his parents; one sister; one nephew; two nieces; and one brother; and numerous other relatives and many, many friends.
He now rests at the Haskell Cemetery. Service was directed by Dowdy Funeral Home, Haskell, OK with Rev. Jim Wininger officiating. (Rhonda)
