KLAMATH PIONEER DIES IN ASHLAND
Sarah H. Gowen, 80, who with her husband settled in Klamath County 53 years ago, died Saturday night in Ashland. She had been in failing for several years and had been in Ashland for treatment for the past 15 months.
Mrs. Gowen was born in Tuttletown, Calif., and was married to E. H. Gowen before moving to Klamath Country.
Gowen was selected Sheriff in 1890 and was the justice of the peace at the time of his death.
Services will be held here Wednesday afternoon.
