...The following obituary was given us by Mrs. Samantha Bonnett of the wife of John Fletcher Anderson

...Mrs. Eva Anderson,daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Parsons, was born Jul 31, 1867, in Ohio, and passed away at her home in Emporia, Kansas.
...She was married to J. F. Anderson March 2, 1887, in Winthrop, Iowa, and he passed away July 5 [1936] in Emporia, Kansas.
...She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mabel E. Fleming of Kearney, Neb., four sons, Clarence and Chas. of Emporia, Harry of Farnam, Neb., and Russell of St. Louis; a sister, Mrs. Jennie Eldredge of Watsonville, Calif., and a brother, Russell Parsons of Hancock, Wisc., and four granddaughters and four grandsons. She was a member of the Free Methodist church.
...Funeral services were held at the church on Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Clarence Meinhardt,and burial was in Maplewood cemetery at Emporia, Kansas.

...Mrs. Eva Anderson, 1 Merchant, died Thursday afternoon at 3:35 o'clock at her home.
...Mrs. Anderson was the former Eva Parsons. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Parsons and was born July 31, 1867, in Ohio. Mrs. Anderson moved to Hartford in 1906 and came to Emporia in 1931. She was married to J. F. Anderson on March 2, 1867, in Winthrop, Iowa. Mr. Anderson died July 5, 1936, in Emporia. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Free Methodist church.
...Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Mabel E. Fleming, of Kearney, Neb.; four sons, Clarence Anderson and Charles F. Anderson of Emporia; Harry W. Anderson, of Farnam, Neb., and Russell J. Anderson of St. Louis, Mo; a sister Mrs. Jennie Eldredge, of Watsonville, Calif.; a brother, Russell Parsons, of Hancock, Wis., and four granddaughters and four grandsons.

Meinhardt, pastor of the church, conducted the services. Mrs. O. V. Faulkner, Mrs. Don Hoover and Mrs. Meinhardt sang. Pallbearers were W. S. Place, Ernest Marcellus, Conrad B Jones, Mayne Nelson, Ira Green and Jonas Hawkins. Burial was in Maplewood cemetery.
...Out-of-town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were: Mrs. Mabel Fleming and son, Hrold, of Kearney, Neb.; Rev. Harry W. Anderson of Farnum, Neb.; Mr. and Mrs. Russell J.
