Travis was born on October 4, 1935, in Packery, Texas to Jack and Hazel Christine Williams. He moved to Brownsville, Texas in 1941 where he attended Brownsville High School. At the age of 18, Travis enlisted in the U.S. Navy as a Coreman and was stationed in San Diego, California for 4 years. He moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in early 1960 and became a successful nightclub owner for over 30 years. After Travis retired, he thoroughly enjoyed spending time at his ranch relaxing and fishing with family and friends.
Travis was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter, Belinda Sue Williams.
The family he leaves to cherish his memories are his wife, Judee Williams of Corpus Christi, Texas; two daughters Jennifer (Benjamin) Williams Falcon and Trevre Williams both of Corpus Christi, Texas; a stepson Joe (Carla) Elizalde of Laredo, Texas; three grandchildren David Gonzalez of San Antonio, Texas, Meagan Falcon and B.J. Falcon of Corpus Christi, Texas; a brother Gordon (Jackie) Williams of Brownsville, Texas; two nieces Sheila (Walter) Montes and Mandy (Jim) Burres of Brownsville, Texas; and a nephew Gary (Sherrie) Williams of Brownsville, Texas. Travis will also be missed by numerous friends who considered him as part of their family.
Visitation was held on July 15 at Seaside Funeral Home. A Graveside Service was conducted on July 16 at Seaside Memorial Park.
Pallbearers - Spec Bailey, Butch Bowen, Frank Cameron, Dean Dick, Bob Dumasand and Lucid Hancock. Honorary pallbearers will be jk34 Capeletti, Rus Cooper, Sheldon Melon and Jerry Morrell.
