Isabel M. Dean, 92, formerly of East Hanover Township, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2008 in Twin Oaks Nursing Home, Campbelltown.
She was born on July 30, 1915 in Lancaster, PA to the late Elmer Gochenauer, Sr. & Essie (McGee) Gochenauer.
She was a graduate of John Harris High School and retired from the former Shell's Bakery at the Broad St. Market.
She was a member of Linglestown Church of God, Harrisburg, Lower Paxton Lioness Club and the Autumn Leaves. Isabel was a very active member with the Rescue Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary for over 40 years. She enjoyed camping, crocheting, knitting, collecting bookmarkers, reading, traveling and loved going to the beach. Above all else Isabel loved her family and time spent with them.
She was the widow of Glenn E. Dean.
Surviving are a daughter Carol A. Grauel and her husband James Grauel, Sr. of Harrisburg, a sister Pearl Cummings of Harrisburg, 3 grandsons; Jim Gruael, Jr. of Mechanicsburg, Todd Grauel of Harrisburg, Rodney Grauel and his wife Karen of Harrisburg, 3 great grandchildren; Olivia Grauel, Kailey Grauel, and Connor Grauel. She was preceded in death by a sister Ruth Krone and a brother Elmer Gochenauer, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, 2008 in the Linglestown Church of God, with Rev. G. Barry Stahl officiating. Burial will be in Shoop's Cemetery, Harrisburg. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Thursday in the church.
Arrangements are being handled by the Jesse H. Geigle Funeral Home, 2100 Linglestown Road, Susquehanna Township.
