Mrs. Julia B. Moss, 89, died Friday (July 11, 2008) at Satilla Regional Medical Center following a short illness.
She was a native of Ware County and had resided most of her life in Dixie Union and Florida. She was married to her first husband, the late Kenneth A. Jones, Sr. and her second husband, the late Larry Elmer Moss. She was daughter of the late Julian H. Bennett and Catherine Walker Bennett.
She was the former owner of Amelia Type Setters in Orlando, FL and a former employee of Montgomery Ward. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, College Park Woman's Club and the Waycross Woman's Club. She was president of Orlando Sclerosis and the Beta Sigma Phi.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth A. Jones, Jr. (wife Suzanne) of Toledo, Oh; a daughter, Julia Catherine "Judy" Older (husband William) of Merickville, Canada; and two grandchildren, Tina Older and Greg Older.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday (July 17, 2008) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday night from 6 until 8.
