Deceased Name: Russell Dee Kendell "Together Again"

UINTAH -- Russell Dee Kendell, 87, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, returned to his Father in Heaven, and was reunited with the love of his life on Friday, December 22, 2000, surrounded by family and friends.

Dee was born July 26, 1913 in Uintah, Utah, to Parley P. and Nellie Mae Kendell. He was raised and lived most of his life in Uintah where he met his eternal sweetheart, Naomi Wynant. They were married on February 10, 1937, and later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on February 10, 1956.

Dee was an active member of the LDS Church and the Uintah 1st Ward, where he held several church positions. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad, drove a school bus for Weber School District, and worked a small farm in Uintah.
His favorite pastime was golfing with his friends and driving his tractor.

His family was the most important thing in his life.

Living in Uintah gave him the opportunity to be surrounded by his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He touched the lives of everyone he met, and anyone who knew him considered him their grandpa.

Dee is survived by two sons, Allen (Patricia) Kendell, Salt Lake City; Craig (Linda) Kendell, Uintah; daughter-in-law, Judy Kendell, Sunset; eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and a special cousin, Ann Santoro.

He is also survived by three brothers, Wallace (June) Kendell, Orem; Blaine (Ruth) Kendell, North Ogden; Jay (Elaine) Kendell, Uintah. He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi, and three sisters, Leah, Norma, and Ilene.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2000, at 11 a.m. at the Uintah 1st Ward, 6660 So. 1775 E., Uintah, Utah, where family and friends may gather one hour prior to services.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th St., Ogden, Utah.
Interment Uintah Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vista Care Hospice, 425 E. 5350 So., Ogden, Utah 84403, in memory of Dee and Naomi Kendell
