Arvel Zell
Arvel Zell, 78, of Shelbyville died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, at Heritage House Convalescent Center.
Born Oct. 7, 1929, in Shelbyville, he was the son of LeRoy and Marguerite (Bentley) Zell.
Survivors include his sisters, Mary Jeffries of Shelbyville, Maverne Anders of Kansas and June Franciose of Massachusetts; and brother, Marvin Zell of Shelbyville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Wayne Zell and Gerald Zell.
Mr. Zell had been a machinist with a machine shop in Fairland.
He was a ham radio operator and enjoyed making concrete statues.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison St.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Edwin Mohr officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
