James H. Wright's Service Set Today (d. May 24, 1960)

James Harrison Wright, 71, Adairsville, Rte 2, died in a Rome convalescent home Tuesday following an illness of two months. His condition had been serious for several weeks.

Mr. Wright was born in Ellijay, March 5, 1889, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herschel B. Wright, but had been a resident of Floyd County since 1900. He was a member of the Baptist Church and a former employee of Brighton Mills.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Willie Mae Reid of Atlanta; three sisters, Mrs. Dovie Ray of Ellijay, Mrs Almeda Sharp of Rome, and Mrs.Pearl Camp of Adairsville; two brothers, George W. Wright, Shannon and Luther B. Wright of Rome Rte 2. Three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were to be held at 4pm today in Plainsville Fellowship Baptist Church with the pastor, the Rev. Dewitt Hunter, officiating. Interment will be in the family lot in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Nephews will serve as pallbearers and include Clinton Sharp, H. B. and Leon Camp, Ranford, L. C., Raymond and Herschel Wright.
