Mr. Berthelot died Wednesday in Schumpert Medical Center after a brief illness. A native of Clio, he was a retired self-employed mechanic. he had been a resident of Shreveport for eight years and was a member of First Assembly of God and a 25-year member of Gideons International.
Survivors include wife. Doris M. Berthelot of Shreveport; one son, the Rev. Corbett Berthelot of Sarepta; one daughter, Margaret West of Spring, Texas; brother, Steve Berthelot of Lake Charles; sisters, Beatrice Roberson and Eunice Rottman, both of Ponchatoula, and Ella Drury of Hammond; and four grandchildren.
The family requests that any memorials be made to Gideons International.
