Both of Abraham abd Elizabeth's sons, George and Joseph, died in the American Civil War.

Abraham migrated Gallia in 1810. He settled in Ewington, Huntington, Gallia, Ohio. It is said he built the first log house in Gallia County, also the first stone chimney.
