William Claude Schrimsher, 84, Athens, died Thursday at a Decatur nursing home.
The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at McConnell Funeral Home with Dr. Fred Lackey and the Rev. Joe Anglin officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Schrimsher was a member of the First Baptist Church and retired from Thiokol Corp.
Survivors include five sons, Jerry Schrimsher of Huntsville, Clyde Schrimsher of Charlotte, N.C., Glenn Schrimsher of West Palm Beach, FL, and Home Schrimsher and Morris Schrimsher, both of Athens; two daughters, Mauvoline Yarbrough of Athens and Ruth Miles of Chattanooga, TN; a brother, Clifford Schrimsher of Athens; three sisters, Ethel Patterson, Lois Landers and Mary Landers, all of Athens; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
