Mary Ann Groft, 18, New Oxford, died at the National Institute of Health at Bethesda, Md Monday evening at 6 o'clock. She had been in ill health 18 months and hospitalized for six months.
A native of Hanover, she was a daughter of Harold F. and Mary (Carbaugh) Groft, New Oxford, and was a member of St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church, New Oxford, and was a graduate of Delone Catholic High School with the class of 1967.
Surviving are her parents; six brothers and sisters; James E Groft, New Oxford, Cpl. John C Groft, Camp Pendleton, Calif; William J. Groft, New Oxford; Sp-4Ronald Groft, Vietnam; Kathryn E Groft and Bonita R. Groft both at home and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles I Groft and John B. Carbaugh both of New Oxford.
Funeral services will be held Friday morning with meeting at the Feiser Funeral Home, New Oxford, at 8:30 to go to St. Mary's Immaculate Conception Church for the requiem Mass at 9 o'clock at which the Rev. Fr. Alexis Arnoldin will be celebrant, Internment will be in the parish cemetery.
