Born March 31, 1915, in Jefferson County, he was the son of Calvin Clarence and Minnie Davis Baughman.
Mr. Baughman was first married to Martha Smith, who died in 1942. He then married Rena Moore on October 22, 1943, and she survives.
Mr. Baughman was a member of the Church of Christ in Summerville.
Mr. Baughman enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Baughman worked for Stahlman Coal Company and retired from C&K Coal Company.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, James R. Baughman of Marienville; Raymond Baughman of Summerville; John C. Baughman of Waterford; and Richard A. Baughman of Summerville; four daughters, E. Louise Bish of Shannondale; D. Audelle Jeannerat of Limestone; Ruth Baughman of Summerville; and Virginia Baughman of Florida; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Baughman is also survived by two sisters, Dorothy Nicol of Beaver and Naomi Moore of North Carolina.
In addition to his first wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, four sisters; and three grandchildren.
Visitation was held at the Goble Funeral Home in Clarion.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, March 4, in the funeral home with the Rev. William Coates officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Limestone.
