Wendell H. Rose, age 66, of McDonough, GA died Tuesday, April 22, 2008. He was born in Clintwood, VA to the late Linden Clarence and Dossie (Fleming) Rose. Mr. Rose attended Henry Baptist Church. He loved studying his Bible, gospel music and attending the 3 yearly reunions. He was a man of many talents, including plumbing, maintenence work and automotive upholstery. But most important to him was gathering with friends and family, especially watching and attending his grandchildren's activities.
Mr. Rose is survived by his wife, Janice (Stanley) Rose, McDonough, GA; daughters, Alisa Kennedy, Wise, VA, Marcia Kenon, Mcdonough, GA, Rita Gray, Lenoir City, TN;grandchildren, William Kennedy, Jessica Kenon, Wesley Kenon, Tiffany Gray; brothers, Doug Rose, Lake Oconee, GA, Gary Rose, Myrtle Beach, SC; sisters, Sarah Puckett, Stockbridge, GA, Linda Schray, Stockbridge, GA, Vikki Rose, Monroe, GA, and Linda Phillips, Clintwood, VA. Mr. Rose was also preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Gray; brothers, L.C. Rose and Hugh Lynn Rose; sisters, Ava Rose, Lorraine Rose and Geneva Deel.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 25, 2008 at Clintwood-Colley Funeral Home, Clintwood, VA with Ministers Jim Stanley, Gary Rose, and Toney Nunley officiating. Interment will follow at Lockhart Cemetery, Clintwood, VA. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 24, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
