TEMPLE - Mary Estelle Carberry, 87, of The Grove, Texas, passed away Monday, Feb. 25, 2002, at a Temple nursing home. Services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 28 at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home Chapel_ in Temple with the Rev. Howard Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Pendleton Cemetery in Pendleton, Texas. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 27 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Carberry was born in The Grove to Joshua F. and Charlie Brazzil Kennedy. She married B.T. Carberry on March 16,1936, in Marlin. He preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 1999.
She was a member of Troy Quilting Guild and was an active member of First united Methodist Church of Troy.
She also was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Sara Johnston and a brother, Julian Kennedy.
Survivors include her son, Bill Carberry of Moody; brother, Billy S. Kennedy of Arlington; two grandchildren.
