Patricia and her two daughters, Donna & Cinthia, all died the same date.

"The funeral for Mrs. Joseph Lay and her daughters, Donna Sue, 8, and Cindy, 4, burned to death Friday night, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Foreman Funeral Home, 10600 Taylorsville Road. Burial will be in Jeffersontown Cemetery.
They died in a fire which destroyed their home on Old Heady Road about four miles south of Jeffersontown.
Mrs. Lay, the former Patricia Gnagie, is survived by her husband, who is in serious condition at St. Anthony Hospital with burn on his hands and arms; two other children, Joann, 9, and Michael Louis, 6; his [sic] parents, Mr. and Mrs. Homer L. Gnagie, Fisherville; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Jean Hockersmith, Mrs. Joyce Fay Krimple, and Mrs. Ann Louise Harris, all of Jeffersontown, and Mrs. Stella Marie Murphy, Fern Creek; and six brothers, James Ray Gnagie, Baton Rouge, La.; Homer Leslie Gnagie, San Antonio, Tex, and William Anthony, Roy Lee, albert Lewis, and Robert Lee Gnagie, all of Fisherville.
The children are also survived by their paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Blandy Traux, Simpsonville. Mr. Traux is in critical condition at St. Anthony Hospital with burns on her face, hands, arms, and legs."
