Ruth Ellen Clark, 76, Hillsboro, died July 3, 2008.

A graveside service will be 1 p.m. today, July 8, at West Lawn Memorial Park in Eugene.

She was born Ruth Whipps, Jan. 29, 1932, in Eugene. She was a social worker and was employed by Adult and Family Services in Eugene.


She married William J. Clark in 1980. They lived in Eugene.

Mrs. Clark enjoyed gardening, camping along the middle fork of the Willamette River and visiting the Oregon Coast. She relocated to Hillsboro in May 2006.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mabel Whipps; her husband, William, in 2003; and two sisters and one brother.

Survivors include her sons, Arthur, Brian and David; daughters, Leslie and Denise; a sister, Louise; and 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
