Loye Dene married Robert Reynolds Ritchie 21 November 1948. They had 3 children; Marna, Randy and Scott.

Mother is Hazel Gertrude (Wooden) Worth Mahnken
her father was Owen Clayton Worth

Ex-husband Robert Reynolds Ritchie died years ago. They divorced after many years of abuse delivered at the hand of Loye or "Lorrie" (to her friends).

Loye and only daughter Marna had a huge falling out due to mother's abuse and in her teens. Marna moved out of the house never to speak or see her mother again, until her funeral. Marna did come to her mother's funeral and then she quietly went back home to Chicago and her 3 children. She is now a widow. She lost her husband in September 2010.

Loye, also known as "Lorrie" to good friends, had a boyfriend of about 20 years, but never married.

Loye's death was caused by complications after many serious operations that were due to many broken bones after being in a car crash. She was about 70 at the time of the accident and she was the passenger, not the driver. She was thrown out of the car about 30 feet onto the shoulder of the highway and suffered massive broken bones. She spent her last 2 years of life laying in a hospital bed recooperating from many surgeries. The doctors had told her that once her broken bones had mended, they intended to transfer her to a rehab center where they would teach her how to walk all over again. The last few surgeries she was supposed to have, the doctors told me that when they turned her over onto her stomach, she flatlined 3 times, so they had to wait for her to recover and get healthier before they could proceed. This never came to pass. She got weaker and weaker. They had her on a breathing machine for about 3 months. She could not breathe deep enough to keep enough oxygen in her lungs to sustain life. Doctors told her at this point that she should "put her affairs in order", which she did. She never got out of that hospital, she never walked again, and she knew Jesus was calling.

R.I.P. my dear Auntie.
