Clayton Wiggins, a well known farmer of Smithville, died suddenly on Wednesday evening. When he failed to appear at the house at the customary time a search was instituted and his dead body was found in a cornfield, where he had been working. The mules he was using were standing by his side. Neuralgia of the heart was the cause of death. A wife and several children survive. (The Lancaster Examiner - June 11, 1904)
