The funeral of Joshua J. Gardner was held Saturday morning at 10 a.m. from the residence of his daughter, Mrs. S. D. Peden, in Camden. Mr. Gardner had been afflicted for more tha year with dropsy. He leaves a family of eight children, among them ex-County Superintendent Gardner of this city and Miss Ella,a missionary in Japan. Mr. Gardner was highly esteemed by his large circle of friends throughout Carroll and Cass counties.
