Earl W. Doty - Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday for Earl W. Doty, 90, 421 N.W. 13th St. He died at Good Samaritan Hospital Saturday morning.

The son of John W. and Lillian May Mann Doty, he was born April 10, 1893 in La Mars, Iowa.

He married Edith L. Gibson on June 5, 1912, in Wagner, S.D. The couple farmed in South Dakota until 1935, when they settled in Corvallis.

The Corvallis Lumber Co., employed Mr. Doty from 1936 to 1942, when he enlisted in the Navy as a Seabee. Discharged as a Chief Petty Officer in 1945, he returned to Corvallis and managed the Farmer's Co-op until 1947. He worked with his sons in the construction business until his retirement in 1958.

Edith Doty died January 24, 1972. Mr. Doty married Hulda Burchell Wrigglesworth on March 5, 1974.

Besides his wife Hulda, Mr. Doty is survived by six brothers: Charles, of Wagner, S.D.; John of Greeley, Colo; Frank of Mitchell, S.D.; Arnold, of Camarillo, Calif.; and Royal and Merle, both of Corvallis. Also surviving are two sisters, Pearl Brown of Tigard, and Laura Hanley of Junction City; three sons, Carl of Salem, Donald of Orem, Utah, and Marshall of Corvallis; two daughters, Lucille Johnson of Eugene, and Charlotte Walker of Monmouth; and a step-daughter, Janice Hilderbrand of Newberg. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the McHenry Funeral Home, 206 N.W. 5th St. Burial will follow at the Oaklawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
