Alicia G. Aguilar, the owner of Alicia's Burrito Place and Aguilar's Pik-Pak in Alpine, died Monday, July 7, 2008, in Alpine. She was 58.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today (July 10) at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, July 11, at the church with Father Miguel Alcuino officiating. Burial will be in Holy Angels Cemetery directed by Memorial Funeral Home of Fort Stockton.

Mrs. Aguilar was born Dec. 9, 1949, in Alpine to Esperanza C. Garcia and Daniel Garcia. She married Alonzo Aguilar on June 30, 1967, in Alpine.

She was a devoted wife, daughter, mother and grandmother to her nine grandchildren.

"She is a virtuous woman whose honor, strength and wisdom was given all the days of her life to her family and friends," according to family members. "Our mom was very proud of the ability she had to take care of her parents every day. We remember her full of life, always smiling, and the beautiful laughter she always brought to our lives. She will be dearly missed by our dad, Melinda, Priscilla, Roxane, Cito, her parents Esperanza and Daniel Garcia, her eight brothers and sisters, and her nine grandchildren.

"Rest in Peace, Mom, we love you chingos, and can't wait to see you again."

Survivors include her husband, Alonzo Aguilar of Alpine; one son, Alonzo Aguilar Jr. of Alpine; three daughters, Melinda Aguilar and husband Daniel Vega of San Antonio, Priscilla Garcia Aguilar, and Roxane Aguilar and husband Eric Garcia, all of Alpine; her parents, Daniel and Esperanza Garcia; five sisters, Susanna Guevara of Seguin, Sandra Zapata of Dallas, Ninfa Zucherich of Kermit, Duvy Garcia of Alpine and Rosie Melendez of Odessa; three brothers, John Joe Garcia and Mundie Garcia, both of San Angelo, and Billy Garcia of Alpine; and nine grandchildren, Danielle, Cassandra, Daniel, Cody, Sydney, Jared, Malik, Elizabeth and Jett.
