Coroner William Ryan of Lincoln was notified and conducted an inquest, the verdict being that death was due to apoplexy.
Mr. Whiteman was aged 41 years and is survived by his widow, two sons, and one daughter.
He was a member of the Modern Woodmen, who had charge of the funeral.
