Clinton W. "Butch" Terry Jr., of Roanoke, "Butch" as he was affectionately known was called home to be with his heavenly father on Monday, July 7, 2008. Butch served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Evelyn A. Terry; his parents, Clinton W. and Betty Terry Sr.; and his son, Steven M. Lawrence. He is survived by his daughters, Lashawn Terry, Lakesha (Michael) Hicklin, Tawanda Terry, and Marquita Hairson, all of Roanoke, Va., Tonya Miller, of Greensboro, N.C., and April and Courtney Terry, of Columbus, Ohio; and one son, Deon Miller, of Roanoke, Va.; siblings, Carolyn (Essex) Hairston, Joyce Carter, Samuel (Deborah) Terry, Belinda Terry and Richard (Karen) Terry, all of Roanoke, Va.; aunts, Ella Terry, Ollie Rucker, Edith Hall, Dolly, Sadie, Norma and Doretha Preston, all of Roanoke, Va.; uncles, Milton Preston, of Roanoke, Va., and Wallace Terry, of Hardy, Va.; a special niece and nephew, Nikki and Shawn Leftwich, both of Roanoke, Va.; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008, in the HamlarCurtis Chapel with the Rev. Harold G. Preston officiating. The interment will be in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 11, 2008, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Hamlar-Curtis Chapel. Friends may call on Friday afternoon for viewing at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
