Marjorie Driggs McMurray, our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at age eighty-three in her daughter's home on July 7, 2008, surrounded by family members.

Marjorie, a life-long resident of Salt Lake City, was born February 5, 1925 to Jean R. and LaNola Callister Driggs. She grew up in Salt Lake City, graduated from South High School, attended LDS Business College and served an LDS mission in the Central States. In 1948, she was married for time and all eternity to her long-time sweetheart, Macoy McMurray in the Salt Lake Temple. Marjorie revered her parents and all her progenitors. She diligently searched their records and became acquainted with them. She was the mother of seven. Unmentioned by name but deeply loved, are so many from other countries and places who came into the home and international family of herself and her husband's. She loved music, flowers, birds, and all that is beautiful. She was a devoted member of the LDS church and had a deep testimony of God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the restoration of the gospel. Her love of the Savior was evident through her unconditional love for others. She served faithfully in every auxiliary of the Church. She was co-founder of the International Cultural Exchange Foundation and served for several years with the Tolstoy Foundation assisting the settling of refugees from SE Asia and other areas of the world. She maintained close ties with so many whom she assisted.

She is survived by her husband, Macoy, their children, James and Hyun McMurray (Tacoma, WA), Ann and Robert Dale (Farmington, UT), Lynn and Charlene McMurray (Tonga), David McMurray, Salt Lake City; Vicki McMurray (American Fork, UT), Paul and Deni McMurray (Crofton, MD), Mary Ellen and Brent Mabey, Salt Lake; John and Connie McMurray (Boise, ID), her sister, Lois Olsen and brother, Jean Driggs, 33 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alyce Olsen (sister) and John Harold Starley (brother).
