EAST WENATCHEE - Rita Gojenola Huffman, 48, East Wenatchee, died late in the evening of April 12 or early in the morning of April 13, 1995, in her home.
She was born Feb. 14, 1947, to Paulino and Frances (Braga) Gojenola in Myrtle Creek, Ore., and moved with her family to the Entiat area when she was 3 years old. She was educated in Entiat and later attended a college for one year.
Mrs. Huffman worked in the apple packing sheds and married Dennis Brown in 1964 in Wenatchee. They lived in Wenatchee and later in East Wenatchee. She became the first saleswoman in the car sales profession in the area, beginning at Leonard Evans Cars. She also sold for John Clark Ford, Reichert Nissan and Don Sangster Motors. She returned to Leonard Evans Cars two years ago.
She married Jim Huffman on Feb. 14, 1979, in Wenatchee.
Survivors include her daughter, Mrs. Todd (Angie) Zimmerman, East Wenatchee; four brothers, Gus of Selah, Tony of Anchorage, Alaska, George of Kennewick and Ben of Seattle; and her special friends, Stan Moore, Wenatchee, and Mary Deskin, East Wenatchee. She was preceded in death by her parents.
