Lola Kroese Dufphey, 80 years, born in Douglas, NE. She grew up on a farm near Firth; graduated Adams High School and Lincoln Business College. Following the loss of her first husband in World War II, she wed Dan Dufphey of Battle Creek, NE in 1951 in Yankton, South Dakota. Dan and Lola were together 53 years until death did they part. She was wife, mother and comrade. Her late years were made difficult with Alzheimers. During this time she was sustained by the love succor and care of the family, friends and membership of Crete Manor Nursing Facility. Lola is survived by husband Dan, Daughter Debra Turner and Granddaughter Samantha Dawn Turner of Oklahoma City, OK. Sister June McCormick of Phoenix, AZ. She was preceded in death by parents John and Melissa Kroese. Lola will be cremated and interred at the Family Cemetery south of Battle Creek, NE. Services are pending. Sympathy cards only please.
