Lorell "Tommie" Taylor, 97, died Dec. 20, 2002, in Klamath Falls.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Malin Community Presbyterian Church with Pastor Joyce Fogle officiating. Interment will follow at Malin Community Cemetery next to her beloved husband Frank. Davenport's Chapel of the Good Shepherd is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Taylor was born Feb. 24, 1905, in Santo, Texas, to Alexander Lakes Morgan Sr. and the former Altha Nancy Irvin. She was one of their 11 children.
When she was about 6 years old, she moved with her family by covered wagon to Oklahoma, where she married her lifelong mate Frank I. Taylor in 1925. They gave birth to 10 children.
After relocating a few times, they settled in Malin in 1947.
With her, the family always came first.
In addition to raising her children, Mrs. Taylor worked in the potato sheds through the years.
She loved the outdoors, flower gardening, and fishing.
She was an active member of the Malin Community Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include her children Bill and JoEllen Taylor and J.L. and Helen Taylor of Malin, Betty Winebarger of Merrill, Ike and John Phillips of Klamath Falls, Glenda and Bill Comer of Redding, Vi Miland of Paradise, Calif., Mary and Jerry Deets of Thousand Palms, Calif., and Joyce Guthrie of Yreka, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; one brother; one sister; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives; and a host of friends in the Klamath Basin.
She was preceded in death by her husband; children Allen and Marie; grandsons Marshall and John; great-great-granddaughter Courtney; four sisters; and four brothers.

She is survived by her children, Bill and JoEllen Taylor, J.L. and Helen Taylor, all Malin, OR, Betty Winebarger, Merrill, OR, Ike and John Phillips, Klamath Falls, Glenda and Bill Comer, Redding, CA, Vi Miland, Paradise, CA, Mary and Jerry Deets, Thousand Palms, CA, Joyce Guthrie, Yreka, CA; 21 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother and 1 sister plus numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. "Tommie" was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; children, Allen and Marie; grandsons, Marshall and John; great-great-granddaughter, Courtney, as well as 4 sisters and 4 brothers.
