Mr. Gray served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He had lived in Palestine all his life and was a member of St. Philips Episcopal Church. Mr. Gray was a retired car salesman and owner/operator of Philip Gray Chevrolet in Oakwood for many years. He was a Scottish Rite and Shriner and a member of the Palestine Masonic Lodge. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lula Fae Bennett Gray; and son, Philip H. "Bubba" Gray Jr. Mr. Gray is survived by his daughter, Phyllis Wier and husband Ronny of Palestine; four grandchildren, Michael Hays and wife Erin of Frankston, Matt Hays and wife Sondra of Elkhart, Alisa Folsom and husband Terry of Buffalo, and Brandon Wier of Buffalo; eight great-grandchildren, Aryn, Madelon, Regan, Allie, Jacob, and Mallori Hays, and Seth and Landon Folsom.
