Nina E. Ashley, 92, of Fraziers Bottom, formerly of Clendenin, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2016 at CAMC Teays Valley from health complications.

Nina was the daughter of the late Grant Pettit and Mamie E. Collins Pettit Swiney. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Garnet "GB" Ashley; daughter, Connie Gayle Ashley; daughter-in-law, Agatha Faye Ashley; grandson, Brandon Shane Ashley; and brother, Edgar Pettit.

She is survived by sons, Tom (Judy) Ashley of Fraziers Bottom and Steve (Ruth) Ashley of Cottageville; brother, Charles (Glenna) Pettit of Belleville; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank all of her caregivers for the special love and care, and the doctors and staff at CAMC Teays Valley.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at Matics Funeral Home Inc., Clendenin, with Pastor Mark Price officiating. Burial was in Payne Cemetery, Clio. Visitation was one hour prior to the service.
