She was born June 17, 1902, at Salt Lake City, to Edward and Annie Waterfall Kearsley. She grew up and attended schools in Salt Lake City and in Victor.
On Jan. 10, 1918, she married James Andrew Shaw at Driggs. She was a homemaker and had lived in Idaho Falls for 65 years. Her husband died Nov. 24, 1981.
She was a member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed handiwork, writing poetry, and raising her family.
Survivors include her daughters, Beatrice Tracy of Shelley, Wanda Easley of Hemet, Calif., Lucille Wade, Nadine Mann, Lois Draper, Kay Hemsley and Luana Richardson, all of Idaho Falls, and Mary Kienlen of Twin Falls; a brother and a sister, Arthur Kearsley of Victor, and Edith Humble of Orem, Utah; 39 grandchildren; 98 great-grandchildren; and 64 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, three brothers, three sisters, three grandsons, three granddaughters and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Wednesday for one hour before services. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
