Mrs. Maggie Thomure, aged, 64, passed away Friday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B.F. Bartlett, of Elvins, after a long illness.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday at two p.m. at the Elvins Baptist Church by Rev. Wade Freeman.

Interment was in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Maggie Ella Carver was born in Jackson County, Ill., Feb. 23, 1872, and departed this life July 31, 1936, at 7:20 p.m.

She fell last January and suffered a broken hip, which kept her confined to her bed until death claimed her.

The deceased was united in marriage to Octave Thomure in Granite City, Ill., Nov 10, 1887.

Her husband and five children preceded her in death.

She is survived by the following children: Mrs. B. F. Bartlett, of Elvins; Mrs. E. L. LaRose, of Kansas City; W. R. Thomure, of Wilmington, Calif., and W. F. Thomure, of Elvins. She also leaves eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. A. L. Leonard, of St. Louis, and Mrs. Chas. Worsley, of Troy, Mo; two brothers, Jack Carver, of Crystal City, and Geo. Carver, of Fredericktown.

Mrs. Thomure joined the Elvins Baptist Church in 1917 and was an active member as long as her health permitted.
